This e-learning course is designed to support European energy communities in developing and implementing strong and impactful business plans. 

Designed for European Energy Communities Facility beneficiaries, this programme is also open to anyone interested in developing an energy community business plan.

By completing this programme, you’ll gain the skills to design and implement a robust energy community business plan, following a clear, step-by-step pathway with practical, role-specific guidance:

  • Module 1: Basics for Energy Communities – Understand the strategic role of energy communities and assess your readiness
  • Module 2: Developing Your Business Model – Define your value proposition, revenue streams, and organizational structure
  • Module 3: Building Community Support – Design stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and partnerships
  • Module 4: Building the Business Plan – Create detailed financial projections, operational plans, and implementation roadmaps
  • Module 5: Implementation and Evaluation – Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and adapt as you grow

The programme includes 23 self-paced lessons across these 5 modules, each designed to take approximately 30 minutes. You will work through engaging videos, practical activities, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises that directly feed into your business plan.

It is:

  • Mandatory for ENERCOM Facility beneficiaries → Completion and submission of a certificate is required to receive the final instalment of ENERCOM Facility funding.
  • Open to all → Any European energy community may enrol for free, it might be particularly interesting for those intending to apply to the second funding round.
