We want to enable visionary leaders to mobilise the necessary resources to accelerate the green transition. This transformation can only succeed if communities are connected — across regions and borders — to learn from each other, test innovative approaches, and scale up solutions for sustainable, resilient cities.

Being a network of several hundred European cities, at Energy Cities we work closely with municipalities every day and understand their learning needs, capacity gaps, and huge potential.

Over the past 35 years, we’ve developed deep expertise in capacity-building — from peer-to-peer exchanges and study visits to in-person training, webinars, workshops, and, more recently, e-learning.

Our passion and commitment to greener, fairer cities led us to create the Local Transitions Learning Centre — an open-access, inclusive learning environment designed to meet the real needs of our members and partners.
