The SPARKLE Specialised Track on Fossil-free Buildings and Districts is a space for deepening understanding and moving toward concrete action. As one of five thematic learning pillars within the SPARKLE programme, this track accompanies Local and Regional Authorities (LRAs) through two interconnected priorities central to the clean energy transition: building renovation and the decarbonisation of heating and cooling systems.
The resources gathered here directly extend and complement the learning content of the SPARKLE School on Fossil-free Districts and Buildings. Where the School introduces key concepts, frameworks and challenges across these two priorities, this Specialised Track provides the tools, evidence and guidance needed to move from understanding to implementation.
